Sand distribution

Corail designs and builds stationary installations intended for daily maintenance of rolling stock. Sand distribution systems allow for quick and safe replenishment of material from a central silo to single or double-sided dispensers. The entire system has been designed to simplify operation as much as possible, reduce operating time, and ensure compliance with health and safety requirements thanks to integrated dust extraction systems.

Silos with a capacity of up to 30 m³ can be filled with tank trucks, which significantly reduces raw material costs. Built-in sensors monitor the amount of sand, and the filtration system minimizes the risk of clogging the installation. It is also possible to equip the silos with side hoppers for use with the mobile sand dispensers available from Corail.

Sand is transported in fully automatically, at very low speed, which preserves the grain structure and reduces dust emissions. The material is transported in abrasion-resistant pipes, which further increases the durability of the entire system. A compressed air production unit can also be integrated – an ideal solution when there is no local source of compressed air.
