The rigid traction network is made of extruded, dedicated aluminum alloy, which provides excellent geometric, mechanical, and electrical properties. The profile is characterized by high strength and hardness while maintaining a lightweight construction. The conventional contact wire is installed in the profile by a qualified Corail team using a specialized installation trolley.
A rigid catenary system consists of at least ten times fewer components than a traditional flexible catenary system. This makes installation faster and more efficient, while operation and maintenance are simpler and require fewer spare parts.
In addition, the conductor rail located in the profile is not subject to breakage due to wear or damage. This reduces the risk of service interruptions, increases employee safety, and reduces the likelihood of infrastructure and rolling stock failures.
