Modern rail vehicle service centers are facing ever greater challenges – an increasing number of units to service, more advanced rolling stock technology, and the need to reduce the time spent on maintenance activities.

Manufacturers of low-floor vehicles are placing more and more equipment on roofs, which significantly increases the number of maintenance tasks performed at height. In such conditions, safety and ergonomics become crucial.

Taking this fact into account, as well as the ever-increasing requirements for work safety, Corail offers a solution in the form of a sliding, rigid traction network. Thanks to aluminum profiles mounted on movable support arms, the contact wire can be easily moved aside during servicing. This creates a free and safe working space, free from the risk of contact with network components, while ensuring complete disconnection of voltage and grounding of the track.

This solution facilitates the use of overhead cranes or hoists, and the integrated interlocking system ensures that the devices can only operate in parallel under specific, safe conditions. As a result, operation becomes faster, more convenient, and more predictable.

The entire system is controlled via an ergonomic HMI panel. The control cabinet equipped with inverters and a PLC controller meets the safety requirements of ISO 13849-1. In addition, the system has a self-diagnostic function and security features to protect against unauthorized access – unlocking is only possible with a code, key, or card.
