Unlike traditional methods, such as de-icing in halls or heating, the Nordic system works preventively. It creates a thin protective layer that prevents ice formation and snow accumulation. This eliminates the need for frequent and costly maintenance interventions.

As the train passes through a special spray zone, a thin film of de-icing fluid at the appropriate temperature is applied to the chassis components. Excess fluid flows into a drip tray, where it is filtered and reused, making this solution both environmentally friendly and economical.

The system is supported by a set of precise sensors that determine the position and speed of the vehicle, ensuring full automation of the process. The driver does not need to take any action – the application starts and ends automatically, and a spray report is generated automatically.

The Nordic Anti-Icing system has been designed to be easily integrated into existing infrastructure, including both station tracks and service sidings. Installation requires minimal interference with the traction network, and the entire technology remains safe and easy to use.
